I made another quick shopping trip to Walgreens and used my $5 off coupon if you spend $20 and my last $8 of register rewards.

Guess what I bought?

More Turkey Bacon.

Now lets get one thing straight. Turkey bacon is still a turkey dressed up to look like a pig, it is like, “pretend bacon.”

But, it just has 15 calories a slice, it is microwaveable, I can cook it at home, throw it in a ziploc with my toast and honey, and munch away on it while I drive to work. If I am busy driving, talking on the phone to the “Princess”, aka my mom, I hardly notice the lack of bacon fat and sound of crispy bacon.

My son won’t touch it….and laughs when he hears the microwave in the morning.

 At just $1.29 a package, and that is fine by me!

Here is what I bought:

I package 6 roll Charmin (I don’t think I can ever buy enough TP)

1 box of 45 kitchen trash bags (I don’t think I can ever buy enough trash bags)

2 boxes of 30 yards of Reynolds wrap (With holiday cooking breathing down my neck, I need every roll)

3 Butterfingers (Please, who can say no to a Candy bar?)

and drum roll please…..

5 more packages of Turkey Bacon

With coupons and register rewards I spent a total of….

………$8.02….

A savings of 74%

It is so much fun to gobble up a bunch of savings….and turkey bacon!
